My interest in studying the way people interact with media is primarily driven by my creative background and personal interest in gaming. Prior to starting graduate school, I spent years working as a musician, graphic designer, and visual artist. I completed my BA in music originally because I wanted to write the music for games – turned out getting a Ph.D. was easier!

Recently I have shifted gears to focus on research, but I still enjoy flexing my creative muscles and getting to play games any chance I get! Exploring my creative side is invaluable to me professionally and personally. Below are some samples of some of my creative work. I hope you enjoy!
